THE 60-CASSETTE FRENCH BASIC
COURSE
Frnchtml.exe (File size
799k) is the Language Warehouse French Basic Course that appears at the lower
part of this section. This is a self-extracting archive. Download this file
if you want to install the French home page and all the lessons in html format
on your hard drive.
Frnchrtf.exe (File size
878k) contains all the lessons in "rtf" format, which is a very popular
word processing format. Using the rtf version of these texts, you can use your
word processor program to modify the text size and font, as well as the format
of the texts if you desire, before printing them.

Important: Remember that this course is normally used in a classroom
environment with an instructor, and some of the text exercises are designed
to be used between the instructor and the student. When this course was prepared
for distribution on the 'net, we had the choice of deleting the text that was
not on cassette, or offering the whole, unabridged texts for the students who
enjoy studying the written text. Part III "Introduction of New Material"
is the end of the recorded portion of each lesson.
If you wish to print only the portion of the text that is on the cassette, you
can do so by highlighting everything down to and including part III, and then
choosing the print function by right clicking with your mouse.

SPANISH BASIC COURSE PHONOLOGY UNITS
Did we already mention that this is the most comprehensive Spanish course
in the world? If you want to learn any language, you must
learn to mimic the accent of a native speaker. There are no secrets, but
there are rules to follow. Learn these rules, and you will amaze yourself
not only with your ability to pronounce Spanish, but your ability to
understand what is being said to you will shoot through the roof!
Unfortunately, the area of phonology training is where so many other courses
fall very short of the mark.
Intended to be studied before the actual Spanish course itself, these
18 phonology units familiarize the student with Spanish pronunciation, as
well as the rules of stress and accenting of the written Spanish language.
Remember that as with the text and workbook sections,
all Phonology units are accompanied by an audio cassette.

In this course, the lessons are divided into modules of six lessons each, and each lesson is composed of
two parts: a "Text" section and a "Workbook" section. Although in the course these two sections will appear on
separate cassettes, they are designed to be studied together, because the material covered in each Text lesson
goes along with its corresponding Workbook lesson.

HEADSTART SERIES
The Language Warehouse "Headstart" series of courses
is designed for the person who desires a quick working knowledge of the language.
Instead of concentrating on the grammar and structure of the language, it
concentrates instead on preparing the student to get around in a "real
world" environment. Each course is composed of a comprehensive text which
is divided into 4 "modules", and from 14 to 16, 90-minute cassettes.
The Headstart series will be available in Spanish, French, German and Italian,
and make a perfect adjunct to the Basic course!. As the texts are completed,
they will be posted here. Note that Module 1 of each language also contains
the student guide, cassette list and course table of contents. The "Key"
contains the answers to the different exercises used in the modules.
